MOJAVE MAX CAN VISIT YOUR SCHOOL
This year 12 lucky elementary schools will be selected.
Assembly Selection for 2010
The Clark County School District is again supporting the Mojave Max Education Program to bring a Mojave Max assembly presentation to Clark County Elementary Schools. These assemblies bring attention to the Mojave Desert, animals of the desert, habitats of the desert, and more. The opportunities to address science, math, and weather topics are endless.
School visits will be scheduled
every Tuesday and Thursday
January 5, 2010 through February 11, 2010.
All assemblies will be one hour, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
If your school would like to host an assembly to learn about the desert tortoise
and the Mojave Max Emergence Contest,
please complete the application by going to:
***Do NOT email Joyce King or the Mojave Max conference.***
Only applications submitted
via the Zoomerang link above
will be accepted.
Submission of your application does not guarantee selection as a site.
Only one assembly per site will be scheduled.
Selection process begins November 20, 2009.
You will be notified either way
once the schools have been selected and the dates are set.
Local weather forecasters will be attending assemblies, and these events will be photographed and may be video taped and shown on television. Schools will be responsible for media releases for all students attending the Mojave Max Assembly.
Thank you,
The Mojave Max Assembly Selection Committee
The deadline for applications is Friday, November 13, 2009.
