The Old LV Mormon Fort State Historic Park
hosts a monthly
Children's Hands-On History Program Series!
All programs are from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on a Saturday.
Below is a listing of the programs for 2008:

9/6/08 Desert Life:  Join our guest speaker, the Nevada Department of Wildlife Educator, Margie Klein and discover how desert animals live and adapt.
10/11/08 Nevada Mining:  Join our guest speaker, Nevada State Geologist, Bill Durbin for an informative program on Nevada mining and enjoy edible geology!!
11/08/08  Native American Indian:  Celebrate Native American History month with children's activities like make-and-take petroglyphs and corn husk dolls.
12/6/08  Pioneer Christmas:  Celebrate Christmas in 1870s at O.D. Gass' Los Vegas Rancho by making ornaments from nature and a special pioneer gift.
