MOJAVE MAX EMERGENCE CONTEST RULES
1. Anyone may enter the contest. Eligibility for prizes offered by the Clark County Desert Conservation Program (DCP) is restricted to students of grades k-12, enrolled in public, private, and registered home schools of the Clark County School District (CCSD). Eligibility for prizes offered in Southern California is restricted to students of grades k-12 enrolled in schools of Imperial, Inyo, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties. Other prizes may be awarded depending on local participation. For information on recognizing winners in your area, or donating prizes please contact Christina Gibson of the Clark County Desert Conservation Program at cng@co.clark.nv.us.
2. Students must have the permission of their teacher(s) and parent(s) or guardian(s) to enter.
3. Students must enter the contest on-line. Students are not required to own a computer. Students may enter from a public computer such as one at a school or public library.
4. The entry form must be completely filled out. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
5. Students may enter the Mojave Max Emergence Contest only once per year. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. Only the first entry per student per year will be accepted.
6. The local Mojave Max Contest representative (Clark County, Desert Manager's Group, or other) must be able to contact the student’s school and the appropriate media release/publicity permit form must be on file with the student's school for a student to be eligible to be recognized as having the winning entry for that Mojave Max Contest Area. In the event, the first place winner for that contest area is not eligible to be recognized, an alternate will be chosen. The recognized winners will be notified through their school, principal, and teacher.
7. In the event of a tie, the entry with the earliest time stamp will win. If two or more entries have identical time stamps, a drawing will be held and one entrant will be chosen to be the recognized winner, for that contest area, for that year’s contest.
