Teacher Workshops We are expanding our education outreach through teacher workshops. The purpose of the workshops is to build strong partnerships with teachers, so they understand the resources available to them at Lake Mead National Recreation Area and how to use the park as an outdoor classroom.   We provide the training and tools and the opportunity for teaches to conduct their own field trips within the park or to co-lead a field trip with a ranger. Those that complete the 16 hour workshop (accredited for professional development) are given priority in scheduling their class for a field trip.
