The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park gives free admission for school tours.  We are focused on enriching the classroom experience with our educational programs.   The lessons learned at the Old Fort can be used in many different lesson plans including American History, Nevada History, Manifest Destiny and expansion of the West.  Over the years, The Old Fort has served as a stop for travelers on the Old Spanish Trail, a ranch, an 1800s US Army camp, a resort and a cement testing labratory for Hoover Dam.  Now the Old Fort is a Nevada State Park and serves as an important historical resource to educate students about Las Vegas history before the neon.
